I rarely agree with her, of course, because she's a Trump defender. However, I have heard her mildly agree a few times that Trump has made a misstep.
She is poised, especially for 28. She maintains her composure. She doesn't interrupt (too many Republican and Dem pundits speak over each other).
I do like that CNN sometimes shows a split screen and you can see McEnany's face contort a little as she sits there and absorbs the criticisms of Trump. Her eyes narrow and her lips purse as if she's wondering how anyone could lower themselves to question the great Donald!
Anyway, she's the Trump disciple that I dislike the least. I guess that's what I'm saying.
I was wondering what happened to Katrina Pierson, so I Googled her. Apparently she turned down the job of deputy press secretary under Spicey.

(17,246 posts)You have such a narrow view if you make that assumption. I clearly state that I rarely agree with anything McEnany says and I also mentioned that "I dislike her the least."
Not everyone here has to jump and up down screaming that everyone on the right is evil incarnate like a five year old.

(5,611 posts)Trump during the campaign. She is just a blonde, slightly milder version of Boris. I still remember her calling other reporters idiots b/c Kayleigh went to Harvard Law and they didn't so SHE is superior. She also doggedly defends every single evil statement and policy of Trump. She's horrendous. Thank god CNN has not had her on nearly as much as they did during the campaign.

(5,730 posts)would make the inane and illogical arguments that she made. If fact, no decent first year law student would be that stupid. I have a niece 9 years old who could truly out debate her, and my niece is much more articulate. So, she got into Harvard law. I think the class is about 500 students, which is large. I'm sorry for Harvard that she is such an embarrassment. Other than that, it's irrelevant. She's a bimbo & an idiot, and CNN should be ashamed for putting her on the air. The Repubs should be ashamed that she is representating the Repub point of view. She channels DT. I do not believe she forms complete thoughts on her own. She certainly cannot think "on her feet. " There is absolutely no analysis when she is asked a question. She parrots the Trump line. Yeah, occasionally, she will walk it back a little, because she recognizes or hears other arguments that something DT said was outrageous and has no credibility. Is she supposed to get credit for that. Some people may think she is attractive, but I know many men who say she's too dumb to be attractive.

(16,294 posts)Anyway, W graduated from an Ivy League school as well. The narrative that graduates from those schools are demigods living among mere mortals is a fallacy/myth.
Alice11111
(5,730 posts)down by high level state schools who went to Ivy League schools. There is an attorney who practices in town, who is known as a complete idiot, and everyone is amazed that he went to Yale Law. I'm not saying that Ivy League schools are bad, because they are good. However, you cannot assume that because someone went to an Ivy League school, that person is really smart. Parents make generous contributions for years to have a chance of getting their kids into those schools, and other really bright students get in without connections, many with scholarships. Regardless, those schools yield a few idiots.
I actually think GWB is more intelligent and more capable of reasoning than Kayleigh.

(16,294 posts)Sort of on topic, an underrated line from the SNL Fatal Atrraction sketch with Tapper and Conway was when Tapper offered her Fareed Zakaria's show she said:
"Do I look like Kayleigh McEnany to you Jake!"
A great line that went over the heads of probably almost everyone watching.

(273 posts)I can't bear to listen to her. She defends Trump even when he is clearly wrong. Today, on CNN, she credited the recent jobs report to Trump, when it is clearly a reflection of President Obama's policies. She used to criticize the jobs report when President Obama was in office. I had to change the channel.
What happened to Scottie Nell Hughes? Not that she's any better. Just wondering.

(7,185 posts)First, Kayleigh McEnany worked for Mike Huckabee.
Second, McEnany studied at the University of Miami School of Law for 2 years and then transferred to Harvard Law School in her 3rd year where she received her JD degree in May 2016. Note - people don't generally transfer to Harvard Law in their 3rd year. Definitely a sweetheart deal because of her CNN ties. Also while she was going to Harvard Law, she was on CNN.
She spends 1/4 of her time telling you she is a Harvard Law graduate. But there should be an asterisk after her degree.
