(11,843 posts)They can control who gets into a campaign rally, a speech, not so much.
Of course, a campaign rally should mean the costs are paid by his campaign funds, not taxpayers, but I would bet that we are paying for this bullshit.

(54,334 posts)They not only got re-elected (with a little help from their friends, but that's how we do it now in the States), but went on to do nothing but bad things until the day they left office.
It doesn't matter how ridiculous or tired their figurehead looks. The danger lies in the evil that will be wrought by their minions and majorities in Congress. If Trump is gone tomorrow, but Pence just loves the direction taken by Trump's appointees to State, EPA, Energy and Education, does anyone really think anything will improve? The only difference between Trump driving us over the cliff and Pence driving us over the cliff is that Pence will actually keep his hands on the wheel.

(9,865 posts)...controversy as to how those seats remained empty, and it's hard to sort out. According to newspapers and pictures from Tennessee it was a well (fully) attended rally but security made it take hours to get in. God only knows what the fact vs. the alt-fact was for this rally.

(61,692 posts)WaPo has an article out that Kushner has a friend, Cohen-Watnick, that is at NSC. McMaster tried to move him out, but C-W called up Jared who saved his job. Similar shit going on at the Pentagon with Mattis being overruled.
