I miss Barack Obama.

Last edited Thu Mar 16, 2017, 01:41 PM - Edit history (1)

I don't even have words to express how much I miss him.

Sure, there were times I disagreed with him.
There were times he disappointed me.

But, honestly, I slept better at night, knowing he had our backs.

He wasn't perfect.

But he was steady, he was smart, he was good-hearted. He was genuine.

He worked hard, and it showed on his face, those 8 years.

I miss you, man.

You've earned your retirement a thousand times over, but I sure do miss you.

edit: Ooops! As was pointed out down thread, I misspelled his first name! Now corrected. My weak excuse is, I had a horrible headache and was on strong painkillers at the time I posted this thread.

allow the head of the firm to work in a senior position in the administration.

By chance my daughter was standing closest to him and when he turned and faced her interrupted her intention to welcome him to the office.

So instead of a short welcoming sentence after his thank you she said an abrupt "Your Welcome" which generated s huge roar of laughter in the office and a big grin from the President.

Or made us feel afraid. He was dignified and funny. Highly intelligent, honest, gracious, involved, open, and compassionate (and physically fit!) Tough when he had to be. I love the pic of him and Putin glaring at each other face to face. Both he and Michelle set wonderful examples for young people.

I am a VERY old lady and have seen many presidents (including the dubious honor of meeting Nixon) and I can
honestly say Obama is the best by far, the kindness he shows to everyone, and the consideration and just the
feeling that he would never let us down, I knew that everytime he had to make a decision that perhaps everyone
would not agree with, it would be for a good reason, so I would never question his judgement. We will not see his like again.
