What do you think about Dershowitz point in this CNN panel?

Remember that he says "there is a difference between good policy and consitutionality. I don't like the <executive order>, but..." I may not have this quote exact. I find it a very interesting point and I hope we can discuss such stuff on DU. If you think Dershowitz qualifies as pusing right wing memes, then take my post as sharing the opinions of his opponent.

I don't think he deserves the credibility the media affords him.

After she'd been found not guilty in her second trial, they decided to try her again, but she was already back in the United States. The High Court eventually found there was no evidence she committed the crime (a stronger verdict than "not guilty.&quot But Derschowitz had already convicted her in the media.

But Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz said that Italian prosecutors might very well extradite Knox. And, if retried, she “likely will be found guilty — because the evidence supporting a conviction is pretty strong.”

Knox, now 25, has established a fan base in the United States “because she has a beautiful face and an angelic appearance,” Dershowitz said.

Indeed, the court said that the “unusual media hype” and the international repercussions that accompanied the case from the moment that Ms. Kercher, 21, was found dead in her room in the university town of Perugia on Nov. 2, 2007, led to a “sudden acceleration” in the investigations to find potential suspects “to consign to the international public opinion,” which “certainly did not assist in finding the truth.”
