Last edited Thu Mar 16, 2017, 07:04 PM - Edit history (1)

He wants to stop free lunch programs because it "doesn't show an improvement" in their performance.

He wants to starve the elderly, children, and others in need but give the military more money.

Fuck him real hard. His kids have never gone hungry.

For the uninitiated, in 'The Godfather" universe (by Mario Puzo):
Corleone family (residing in Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Bronx and Long Island)
Barzini family (residing in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, The Bronx, and Staten Island)
Tattaglia family (residing in Brooklyn and Manhattan)
Stracci family (residing in Manhattan, Staten Island and New Jersey)
Cuneo family (residing in The Bronx, Manhattan and Upstate New York)

In the real world, the Five Families are as follows:
Genovese family
Gambino family
Bonanno family
Lucchese family
Colombo family

The sad thing? Those 5 fiction families and the 5 actual mob families had more honor than the current President and his bomb-throwing cabal of lunatics by a country-mile.

I am sad that Meals on Wheels may get hit, but nobody even mentions WIC, which is critical for many children.

Don't be non-white....that means you are less-favored by god!

(Which really doesn't make any sense at all when you think about the reason caucasian skin is pale in comparison to non-caucasians; but when you reject the theory of evolution, I guess you can't realize that the 'natural state' of human skin pigmentation undoubtedly started as darker hues and only became lighter as migrations from Africa took humans to areas with less intense UV radiation from the sun...the Egyptians that worshipped the "sun" were more grounded in reality than anyone who worships the "son".)

Don't be poor ... because that is another "curse from god" ... prosperity gospel and such, ya know!

Don't be sick or in need, EVER ... because that's just selfish making the society use resources on sustaining your life when those resources are needed in tax cuts for yacht maintenance and grounds keepers from Mexico or housekeepers from Guatemala that we can force to work for slave wages and live in constant fear of deportation.

Don't be curious or intellectually open ... because that requires things like NPR, PBS, CPB and schools that again take money away from deserving rich, white people and give it to undeserving, poor black, brown and yellow people (fuck those red natives, we already gave them casinos, amirite?)

Don't care about water, air, climate or sustainability ... we'll all be dead before the really bad stuff happens and caring about it now means I would have to pay for the unborn millions of other people's children and we can't abide THAT...no sir.

My husband's a Meals on Wheels volunteer, and the lack of fragile elderly and otherwise disabled people quietly starving alone in their homes and being able to recuperate at home instead of running up huge taxpayer bills in nursing facilities are all the "improvements," ever required for that program.

All these programs have proven benefits, very notably and importantly school meal programs.
