The replacement plan is sh*t.
.Everyone with a brain knows it. If it gets to the senate, will any of them vote against it? I sure hope so.

(2,768 posts)none, absolutely none. Every single one of them is going to sit on their hands while this insanity takes place. There isn't a decent one among the bunch. At absolute best a few of them may break ranks once its clear their own seat is in danger due to their constituents finally figuring out who their real enemy is.

(38,414 posts)Perhaps those just elected for new 6 year terms haven't got anything to lose. Maybe Mc Cain or the fellow from Wisconsin. It is hard to know. The situation is in flux, but I don't think this will ever get through the senate.

They've had eight years to come up with even an inkling, and they've got nada.

(38,414 posts)After at least 6 years of complaining and saying ACA needed to be changed, they came up with nothing worth while...in the end 24 million tossed off insurance. A health disaster caused by Republicans. What complete disaster if passed. But, I don't think it will make it. Just a hunch..We will see, and I hope there are 3 of them who care about those 24 million.

(2,654 posts)purely selfish survival in power motives. Otherwise they give a fuck who it hurts or kills, even if it's millions of Americans. The rest figure it will be forgotten or bull shitted away by 2020 and/or they are more afraid of der Fuhrer.

(38,414 posts)I found this on the internet.....
The Affordable Care Act, deemed "Obamacare" by some, received no Republican votes in either the Senate or the House of Representatives. In the Senate, the bill was passed with a total of 60 votes, or 58 Democratic Party votes and 2 Independent Party votes.............
Here is a link on the above quote:

So even though the ACA has saved thousands of lives...the assholes will probably vote against it..but maybe there will be a few...maybe...??

(54,341 posts)I think a few (number increasing) House members are getting the message in the town halls they are holding in their home districts, and reporting back to the party leadership that, while they will vote for anything the party leadership tells them to, they are facing serious popular opposition to the whole scheme in their home districts. The monolith of solid Republican voter blocs may start to crumble over this issue. Oh, the congresscritters will go down with the ship, if asked, but when there is a chance not to sink the ship at all, shouldn't it be considered?
