about the CIA sponsored coup in Chile '73. The US was involved in regime change in Chile for over 100 years. That was just one country out of many dozens including most of Central, South America. US Meddling in 1996 Russian Elections in Support of Boris Yeltsin because the opposition was seen as communist, wanted free healthcare, higher education. Most of our interference caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands or more and the establishment of dangerous dictators like chile's pinochet.
I'm not condoning what putin did or the fascist regime that came into power because of it. I do think that we are in for a hell-storm, our own destruction and that it may be payment for our past dirty deeds. If there is a God, I do not think he is on our side, We are screwed.

I agree completely. Our mid 1953 overflow of Iran's prime minister Mohammad Mosaddegh is the cause of the political leanings of Iran today and the hostage crisis that brought Reagan the presidency. Mosaddegh was democratically elected and the legitimate head of Iran's government. We colluded with the British for oil. We are still paying the price for this (as is the entire world). Imagine no Reagan and Iran as an ally. I wonder how many GOP voters even know this?
