(111,124 posts)but you can bet they're going to step all over it, not wanting to risk tar and feathers at home. They're already afraid of their constituents saying mean things to them. If they pass this stinker without restoring many of the huge cuts to things that help real people, they're going to be afraid for their lives.
That will convince him that he's just not going to be allowed to "fix" this country to his corporate standards, able to fire (kill) anyone he doesn't think is contributing enough to the corporation.
Yeah, I think he'll resign at some point. I just don't think it will be soon enough. He will damage this country badly, first.

(8,197 posts)She gave no indication of that AT ALL. if anything, I got the impression she thinks his dirty deals will likely wind up biting him in the ass.

(8,197 posts)Believe me, I want there to BE something to this.
I'm just not going to read tea leaves or body language.
We need words and actions.
Everything else is just wishful thinking.

(6,042 posts)his options narrow.
We know Agnew's plea deal with Dept Justiceincluded his resignation. Many think Nixon named Ford as vp after arranging that he be pardoned after he resigned and Ford would become president.
Feinstein know how things work in the political world of deals.

(448 posts)If you go to the poster's twitter line, you can find part 5 of the Q&A. She talks about some bills they are working that surround emoluments violations and how to deal with it. They are using top ethics (professionals) to help develop the bills. Sounds interesting, so I think they may know a lot more than they are letting on.
