Why must I be bombarded at the grocery store with their pro Trump anti Obama stories. I took a photo of the current one, but I don't know how to include photos on here yet, but the headline:
"PROOF OBAMA WIRETAPPED TRUMP, LIES LEAKS AND ILLEGAL BUGGING, NEXT TREASON CHARGES AND THE TRIAL OF THE CENTURY". It pisses me off to no end. BTW Trump did say the Enquirer is "real" news and should geta Pulitzer during the campaign.

(1,967 posts)My one man subversion protest. I love that the back cover is the Obama "collectable" ad and that's what people see after I go through the checkstand. I encourage everyone to do this. It feels good.

The very cozy relationship between Donald Trump and the National Enquirer

Trump has written several articles for the Enquirer during the campaign, including one that appears to have been recycled from 2011, when the tabloid was cheering the billionaire real estate mogul toward a White House run that he ultimately decided not to make. The contents are a glorious fusion of Trump's bombast and the Enquirer's gratuitous use of exclamation points.

Trump and Enquirer chief executive David Pecker are reportedly palsy "very close," according to the New York Daily News, and "friends for years," according to New York magazine. Conservative radio host Michael Savage, a Trump backer, told listeners last week that "David Pecker flies to Florida from New York on Trump's private jet." In 2013, Trump even suggested Pecker ought to take over Time magazine.

(20,817 posts)anti-Hillary bullshit drove me crazy during the campaign, and they're even worse now. Why anyone would even consider spending a half a cent or more on that piece of shit rag, I've never been able to figure out.

(59,502 posts)Today, I did a bit of political action. I live in very very blue Burlington VT , but I hate that rag being at every register at the grocery store. So, I protested that it was offensive to the store's manager. I doubt they will change, but if chains have people complaining that they are offensive and they are desreputable lies.
That story today is easier to protest than most -- as Trump himself is pointing at Fox as the source ... and they are not defending the story. The fact that BRITISH INTELIGENCE is now rejecting the claims made that related to them - it is clear that this obnoxious Trump tweet is a lie and has been rejected even by many republicans.
The fact is President Obama is respected here and around the world. Trump may quickly become as respected as people like the NK leader. What a disaster. He is an embarrasment. Yet it was TRUMP who refused to shake hands with the well respected Merkel.
