Back then we peasants were starving and working ourselves to death and couldn't catch all their screw-ups on the twitter.

Maybe we were better off not knowing how incompetent our leaders were.....

as it is the contempt for sound, responsible governance and the rule of law.

The Framers anticipated incompetent presidents and members of Congress – hence our Constitutional Republic.

What they didn’t anticipate was incompetence and blatant disregard for the rule of law.
