Democrats in states that Donald Trump won...

...should not be too quick to embrace Donald Trump or his policies.

Senators like Joe Manchin and Claire McCaskill might want to think twice before they take the side of a very unpopular President? The chances are that he will be even more unpopular in the future. They should be very careful with which star they hitch their wagon to?

What may be popular today may not be so popular by next election day?

The media keeps talking about "Democrats in states that Trump won", as if they are in some sort of danger if they don't vote with the Trump voters? It is more likely that the reverse is true.

as he remains in office this will be true. 20-25% of his supporters will most likely stick with him no matter what. If red state representatives vote to provide adequate healthcare for their constituents, it will go long way in securing their position into the future.
