Small Distraction - What are those buttons that the Dems are wearing

on their lapels on the Intelligence Committee? I have a fairly large t.v., but cannot make out what they are. All I know is they are round and gold and not the US Flag.

1. I see them on all the Congressional members

and everyone else in the government. I think they might be some kind of security device for entering federal facilities.

2. They are security tags

They are Congressional emblems which have an embedded RFID tag.
