Riddle me this: Ivanka is a private citizen, she is not in the employ of the government, has no need-to-know for classified, but is being given an office near her dad and access to classified by being given a clearance appropriate to that level of access. How will she ever get passed a TRUE investigation by an inspector? She vacationed with Putin's girlfriend and has financial business ties all over the world!!!

Or is it because this makes it easier to pass information?

1. i worked in a secure environment with people who had contacts in the ussr.

it certainly gets investigated as part of the clearance process, but it doesn't necessarily prevent anything.
sometimes, obviously, it's could be an asset.

also, as part of the process, ivanka will have to sign documents making her criminally liable for disclosing classified information.
we can suspect that donnie would be giving her much of that information anyway; this way at least she's criminally liable.
