Are the republicans playing a game of political chicken?

Are they betting they can get all the extremist legislation done before the FBI takes down the Trump misadministration?

Besides being, obviously, mentally ill, trump has committed numerous impeachable offenses. If this were the Clinton administration we would already have sworn in Tim Kaine. Trump's inability to recognize reality and operate in the same dimension as the rest of the nation and world is a clear and present danger to the aforementioned.

The Republican underworld is working with wild anxiousness as it tries to advance its screwball ideology before they have no choice but to impeach trump. They have no interest in the United States of America as a republic or a grand democratic experiment, but as a vehicle to entrench their failed moral and infantile belief system.

Will they beat the FBI? Or will the FBI show up and start perp walking whitehouse figures before they get their shit together? This matters. Because the only way to avoid the stain of being seen as in thrall to the Russians is to actually have acted against that threat BEFORE the FBI puts on the handcuffs.

Probably sooner, but maybe later, someone will roll over on the whole scheme and expose the inner workings and actors in this crazy drama. The perp walks ARE coming. The indictments are coming. The special prosecutor is coming, the grand jury is coming and the trials are coming, including one in the Senate. Deep throat is coming.

Where, republican legislators, will you be found when the hammer comes down? On the side of the United States? Or in the dock explaining your support for Putin and the undermining of the American election system.
