I suspect he's the one who was trying to plant stories with Michael S. Schmidt of the New York Times - about Hillary facing a CRIMINAL investigation (which DIDN'T exist). And of course Schmidt, thinking he had a fabulous inside "source" ran with it, and it made the front page, and he was invited onto all kinds of news shows to talk it up. Only to have it all fall apart within the next couple of days.

And little ol' Michael S. Schmidt didn't show his face - OR his byline - for awhile.

I've seen him resurface, with two other reporters, in front page stories that haven't been as friendly to Gowdy's pals. Maybe he learned his lesson? MAYBE. He was hungry to make the front page. Visions of Pulitzers probably danced in his head, along with his own show on some cable network or something, and the fame and fortune and book deals and bragging rights and pecking order and all that.

FAIL. He trusted Gowdy, and it smacked him in the ass.

for decades, spending billions getting agents in place all over the country in the media, sitting politicians, talk show hosts, election precinct captains, and we sit here and think the Russians did all that for all those years and then left it up to the American voter?

Dont be silly.

they are ALL dirty as dirt in this. The entire line of succession for the abrupt departure of the president will probably be obliterated.

I hope the current SCOTUS will find reason to nullify the election.

They DID it before....in Florida recount 2000....in Ohio voting machines 2004...in PA and OH and MI and WI in 2016.

Go back even further....in '80 with the Iranian Hostage crisis and making sure they were not released until AFTER Carter left office (that was a huge campaign issue too)...in '72? Watergate still rings a few bells...

Damn near EVERY election won by republicans since I was born in 1971 - '72, '80, '84, '88, '00, '04 and '16 - has had something odd or unlawful or both attached to it in some manner...

'72 - Watergate
'80 - Hostages (plus holding or hindering their release out of spite)
'84 - well, this one was the exception to the rule, we got slapped around pretty badly here...anyone got an election scandal here?
'88 - Iran-Contra
'00 - Florida
'04 - Ohio
'16 - Comey's October Surprise / Intentional sabotage + Russian collusion

... Prescott Bush Sr pushed Nixon upon Ike for his running mate. The rest is... history. It has gradually made a significant portion of the voting age populace numb to hijinx and dirty campaigning. And they have gotten worse with each election cycle. Look where we find ourselves now.

Than deign to understand the facts. Agressively obtuse.

Not that it should matter, but God, is he ugly and evil looking. I would run if I saw him on the street. Skinny snashed in, longgg head, beady eyes. Like from a horror movie. So, his looks fit his heart.
