(1,039 posts)First, in rural areas, then employee coverage will be dropped (sorry, no unions) and then private systems will become too expensive.
Good news: first, the Republicans own this; and second the quickest remedy will be single payer.

(10,252 posts)But most rethuglicans are too chickenshit to risk that. And well they should be. yanking healthcare with No replacement is political suicide.
Plan C is to just stop defunding as many parts of the ACA as possible to make it wither on the vine. Which might be a form of sloooow political suicide.
There is such a simple way to solve the healthcare problem, which is to completely remove insurance companies and run medicare for all as a gov program funded by taxes. Would definitely decrease costs.

(25,241 posts)they would be hero's - but they are too sinister to do that.
This is their only way out (Medicare for All). Any other plan they initiate spells trouble for them in 2018.
The American People (that they invoke all the time) are finally seeing the Repugs true colors. We need to keep the pressure on the Repugs. The House and Senate will be in Dem hands in 2018. We will then be able to contain Trump if he is still in the WH.
We need to do as the Repugs do - and stonewall - to prevent this SCOTUS confirmation.
I'm just blown away that the WH and Spicer are doubling down on this Russian thingy. The cover-up proceeds.
