Here's what my congressman said about tRump before he loved him.

Bradley Byrne (R. 01, AL)

Dear Brad,
I’m terribly disappointed.
Shouldn’t the nation come first?
I guess not for you.

"Byrne echoed Roby (Martha Roby R. 02, AL) also saying Trump needs to step aside, but specifying that Mike Pence should lead the ticket. Pence was reportedly “furious” after hearing Trump’s remarks.

Donald Trump’s comments regarding women were disgraceful and appalling,” Byrne said. “There are absolutely no circumstances under which it would ever be appropriate to speak of women in such a way.

It is now clear Donald Trump is not fit to be President of the United States and cannot defeat Hillary Clinton. I believe he should step aside and allow Governor Pence to lead the Republican ticket.

As for Trump, he has already said there is a “zero percent chance” of him quitting the race for the presidency.

All of this comes on the heels of a Washington Post exclusive that revealed Trump making sexually charged statements about a woman back in 2005. He spoke with Billy Bush about grabbing a married woman by her genitals. “I did try and f— her,” he said. “She was married.”

That led many other prominent Republicans to balk, including Ted Cruz and Paul Ryan.

“These comments are disturbing and inappropriate, there is simply no excuse for them,” said Cruz.

“I am sickened by what I heard today,” Ryan said. “Women are to be championed and revered, not objectified. I hope Mr. Trump treats this situation with the seriousness it deserves and works to demonstrate to the country that he has greater respect for women than this clip suggests.”

Republican chairman Reince Priebus released a short statement: “No woman should ever be described in these terms or talked about in this manner. Ever.”

BUT THEN HE WON AND THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING!

PARTY UBER ALLES.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

If trump had made statements about my wife like he made about Cruz's wife during the debate, I'd have punched him on live TV...decorum be damned. You can say whatever the hell you want about me but you talk about my family?? Shits getting real. That doesn't even begin to touch on the fact that Trump alleged with a straight face that Cruz's dad was buddies with Lee Harvey!! Trump is the bully that no one on his side seems to have the guts to stand up to, instead they all line up to kiss the ring. Politics is certainly a powerful drug but I wouldn't debase myself like these slugs have, that's for sure.
