I'm watching a local PBS talk show on Michigan's Important Issues of the Day

called "Off the Record and it's a hoot. The biggest issue that's currently tearing the Michigan State Legislature Republican Caucus apart:

Whether to legalize starting your car & leaving it idle as it warms up. I didn't even know it was illegal, lol. Apparently there's hard feelings between the folks who think that people who have remote starters should be able to start their cars and others who think that it would be an unfair advantage to them. WTF? Apparently they've been concerned that folks could steal the cars warming up, drive the wrong way on the freeway & kill somebody. But everybody I know who warms up their cars that way either have 2 keys and their cars are locked anyway, or the car's in a garage.

Meanwhile, I just about lost the front end of my Jeep on E. Saginaw, about 6 blocks from the Capitol in Lansing when I ran into a goddamned pothole the other day.

Next up for discussion: Daylight Savings time--Yes or No.

I think I'll need a nap after this.
