I miss the days of I.E. America Radio Network /Air America radio ...
i used to sit at my computer and stream it all day ...lol.
Are there any such 'stations' available any more ? Would love to find a good talk radio station (with streaming) that caters to the left if anyone knows of any...
EDIT :
Thanks for all the suggestions !

(45,806 posts)They're streaming 24/7 and have most of the liberal hosts on. It's the only one I've found anywhere unless you have access to Sirius which has a few.

I miss AAR for sure, I used to love listening to Morning Sedition, Majority Report, etc. Good times! Still am a huge Maron fan.

(32,078 posts)Scroll down for the radio stations. This site also includes shows one can only stream on the Internet, like The Randi Rhodes Show. They also list podcasts.
I usually stream WCPT out of Chicago. If you decide on a radio station to stream, you can stream it using Tapn Radio, which is a radio player :http://www.raimersoft.com/tapinradio.aspx I like this program, because one can record with it. One can stream WCPT and hundreds of other radio stations.

(8,687 posts)You can listen live at Randirhodes.com, befriend her on Facebook and pick it up there or on You Tube. I used to be an Air America junkie and that's where I first heard Randi, Stephanie and Rachel. I like Randi - she covers the latest news with a lot of energy and she always has her facts. She has had Malcolm Nance on a few times (recently for over 40 minutes - which was great). I bought her podcast, so I can listen on my iphone whenever. You can also podcast Rachel and then listen anytime which I also do.

(13,542 posts)Great idea...but the app on my Android never works well. It freezes and has to constantly be rebooted. I'm not the only one, the reviews I've read say the same thing. It's too frustrating to actually use. If they ever figure it out, that would be great.
Which has been the problem with progressive Radio/TV. A lot of it amateur hour. Drives me crazy.
I was in broadcast TV for over 30 years and this is so annoying. I sympathize, but we just don't have the $ to do it right, to hire enough staff who are competent.

(1,180 posts)The PV or the TuneIn? Both apps work just fine for me on my iPhone and mini-iPad.

(13,542 posts)AM: The Bill Press Show, Stephanie Miller
PM: Thom Hartman, Randi Rhodes.
...just have to Google them to find the links. (And buy Randi's stinking podcast to keep her on the "air"
Also as mentioned for a subscription (and lordy do I like it!) on Sirius/XM radio:
Channel 127 AM: Mark Thompson and Stephanie Miller
PM: Thom Hartman and Michelangelo Signorile
On Channel 121 Late AM: Dean Obeidallah
PM: John Fugelsang.
There is very little good radio on the airwaves anymore. Especially in Texas. Yes, NPR isn't too bad. And I found myself having to drive from DFW to Nebraska a lot and having to travel through Oklahoma and Kansas along the way. In those rather desolate rural areas where even cell phone coverage was spotty, the religious and RW radio stations were annoying. Viola, satellite radio. No fading out in the middle of a program. Easily able to listen to a 3 hour show at 70 mph. Yes, you have to pay for it. But, it's becoming like everything else.
