...fully expecting someone to issue a caution about regarding these republicans as losers.

Thing is, we're light years away from the doom and gloom in the aftermath of the election. The successes we've had are a direct result of believing in the power of our democracy, believing in our own ability to effect change and defend the progresses we've made.

No doubt the republicans will be able to use their majorities and the presidency to move legislation and shift the rules around in ways which will have devastating impacts. That's the consequence of the election.

However, our potential for success in confronting and effectively defeating this republican majority should be more evident now, than in any time I can recall our party in the minority. We should be extremely confident in the power of our individual potential to shape our government and society as we envision it. Yesterday was a huge affirmation of that power, and I don't believe we should shy away from it.

By the way, I NEVER let my guard down, where politics is concerned.

mad dog factions. What happened on trumpcare was "moderates" in conservative land drawing a line in the sand....to keep them from blowing up 2018....

all these people wish to destroy govt and social programs...and enrich wealthy and corporations. THAT is there common goal BUT also staying in power so it can not be done blowing everything up...mad dogs be happy to blow everything up...they hate government, they hate minorities and they are mostly all bigots who equate social programs ONLY benefit blacks and hispanics....ignoring the true reality
