Bernie: Dems should get credit for killing ACHA

Washington (CNN)Sen. Bernie Sanders and President Donald Trump seem to agree on one thing when it comes to the failure of the GOP health care bill: Blame the Democrats.

"Democrats should take credit for killing a really, really bad piece of legislation," the Independent senator from Vermont told CNN's Anderson Cooper on Friday night.
"Poll after poll showed that's exactly what the American people did not want," Sanders, who caucuses with Democrats in the Senate, said of the bill.

All of those who showed up at town hall meetings, held card writing events, and called their reps made the difference.

credit should also go, albeit secretly, to the far, far right wing teabagger/unfreedom caucus shits.. who wanted to kill even MORE people than the only right winger shits.

He's not the only one who knows that, however. Nor is he the only one to say that.

mean and nasty enough?? Technically it was they who tipped the scales in that direction.

Or is this a case of "the friend of my enemy is my friend"? Nothing wrong with that, in fact I think may be the only way to go as a minority party. That, and.... can Dems get out in front of the debate now and put single payer proposal out in front NOW?

Of course it wont go anywhere at this moment in time, but now is the time to get out there and get people talking about it - Nothing worth fighting for happens overnight - just start puttting it out and getting it into the realm of possibility. Now is the window of opportunity Wtf are we waiting for?

when I saw the clip where he said, "Democrats own this."

Oh, really? Like we haven't owned Obamacare for the last 7 years?

Hell, Dems owned it and Dems defended it by convincing the American people that you and the Repubs in Congress were aiming a loaded gun at their heads. The truth is that this was NOT a healthcare bill. It never was. It was another Repub tax cut for the top 1% while shifting untold billions in medical costs back onto those who can least afford it. Sometimes the truth wins.

I am sick of hearing that it failed because of the ineptitude of trump and the republicans ("Here's how they should have done it blah blah blah...&quot instead of because of the outcry from American citizens over it being an outrageous bill.
