Now that Ryan & tRump have declared Obamacare the law of the land

will we see more red states opting in to the ACA's Medicaid expansion? Is that even an option to them? Didn't the % of $ the Feds give to the states to expand the program decrease after the first three years? Could a "fix" of Obamacare be allowing these states to opt in at this late date?

What about setting up state exchanges? Seems to me that now that the ideological and procedural battles have been lost, these red states should just accept the benefits of Obamacare for their denizens and move on. Create a state exchange and get out of the Federal exchange.

That they seek to pursue sound responsible governance, and possess the pragmatism to do what’s best for the people they represent.

Needless to say this is not the case.

Most on the right are partisan ideologues, who will adhere blindly to their failed, wrongheaded conservative doctrine and dogma.

Governor Sam Brownback opposes Medicaid expansion, and will almost certainly veto H.B.2044 if it passes the Senate. The legislature may have the votes to overcome a veto, but they have another significant roadblock that was put in their path on March 20. That’s when the U.S. House of Representatives released a Manager’s Amendment to the AHCA, changing some of the provisions of the legislation they had introduced two weeks earlier.

the GOP will be passing out tons of money to Red States for patches and fixes to the ACA just to pacify their voters.

Yesterday was a awakening for our Nation, the Trump Presidency Collapsed and now we are going to see reactionary Politics. Watch the Freedom Caucus turn ugly big time. The GOP will the most regressive Bills they can in the next 120 days and then run for cover.

... especially as long as the Republican party subscribes to Ayn Rand, plutocracy, and the idea that free markets and trickle-down are what the Founding Fathers meant when they talked of liberty.

Remain vigilant.
