My sister went on a Facebook rant about how Trump "haters" sank RyanCare

1). For months, I have been telling my brother in law about Paul Ryan and what's actually in his "Better Way" scam. His reply, as I have shared here before, was "If it doesn't affect me personally, I don't care." I said "It WILL affect you personally." He said "You've been watching too much fake news." End of conversation. He also said that Trump could very well end up being the greatest President of all time. You could not have this conversation with my sister. She'd just start yelling.

2). You can't even talk to my sister about any of this. She has been 100% on the Trump Train since the primaries. She owns the red hats and still has Trump-Pence yard signs...several...on the wall in her living room. She was heartbroken that she couldn't afford one of his red-and-gold MAGA Christmas Tree ornaments this past Christmas.

3). A summation of her Facebook rant last night was that RyanCare went down hard because of Trump haters, why can't we all get along and let President Trump do great things for the country, why do people hate him, why do people want to live in a hate-filled world.

I don't think she's ever seen the "Trump mocks disabled reporter" or Billy Bush Access Hollywood videos, and if she has, she has already filtered them out of her consciousness.

12. 100% of her "news" and information comes from Fox.

That's it. No other sources.

She also told me once that Trump has a MENSA-level IQ, and I just said "that's great," because it would have been pointless to respond in any other way.

13. He's a 70 year old Bob Marley or Willie Nelson

He smokes about an ounce and a half of weed a month, sometimes more if he has the money (Colorado).

He has multiple smoke sessions daily, and smokes an average of 6 bowls each time.

8. Sorry. You love them for other facets

you're quite fond of, I imagine.

We're going out to dinner tonight with people with very similar attitudes. My husband helped neighbors when their water line broke, now they feel obliged to say thank you, and now we feel obliged to let them.

Sigh. You're stuck with some relatives who're handicapped with conservative genes. We're stuck with the realities that our children are living in the south and that, even if they weren't, we could nnot afford to retire in liberal cities or even neighborhoods. They're all too expensive for us to buy into these days. Can't regret leaving California (much) when our family are here, but...

You've probably seen Trump's campaign promises RE: RyanCare via video many times.

That, for her, is the sum total of her knowledge.

What Trump said, plus whatever Sean Hannity told her it is.

15. She's a big fan of the wall

I don't want to elaborate on that too much...I think you can figure out why anyone would be a big fan of the wall.

That was the first thing that made her love him. Then came the promises of healthcare and lowering taxes.

Plus, she thinks he's a self-made billionaire.

Doesn't know about the six bankruptcies, and anyone told her, you guessed it...more fake news.

11. Your poor dear sister was brainwashed in the cult of chump

There is nothing you can do but wait it out and see her head explode when chump gets arrested. Maybe the cult spell will be broken then. She and your brother in law have been seduced in the chump cult. I feel sorry you have to deal with her but she is your sister and you love her. Someday she will see the error of her ways and will be embarrassed she was conned. Until then hang in there.

Whatever path Trump's future takes, she will be heartbroken. If he's impeached, tried for treason, resigns, whatever, she'll say it was because of the "haters."

She also wrote letters of support to O.J. Simpson when he was arrested for those "alleged murders.
