117 seats in state legislative districts were responsible for the KGOP taking the house.

EDIT: that's 117 throughout the entire country, to clear that up...............

David Daley, author of Ratf***ed, is on smerconish right now, discussing how Rove, in 2010, laid out the plan for these districts

getting those state leg. seats made it possible to gerrymander a HUNDRED NINETY house seats, making the KGOP "miracle" possible

here's a thread from a year ago regarding this

Gerrymandering must be stopped once and for all.

It needs to similarly be a priority for the Democratic Party.

agreed with smerconish when he said that the dems could've done the same thing before the KGOP did, but they didn't realize it/have the nerve to do it

more like they didn't have the Koch Brothers/deVos/Bradley/Olin/Mercer kind of money that brought about this crippling blow (final blow?) to free elections

and then came ALEC.......
