(315 posts)Google is your friend... the US military under all Presidents pretty much since ww2 has killed endless civilians... sure we're still helping starve millions of women and children in Yemen.... and have been for over a year... and in Yemen we've repeatedly sold billions of weapons to dictators, no matter how many times they bomb pediatric hospitals and refugee camps.
Yemen's children starve as war drags on - About 2.2 million children suffer from malnutrition across Yemen

(4,451 posts)No it hasn't.
The US had six air wars ongoing the last year of Obama. Six.
You're just hearing about it maybe.
No spike.
If anything Libya has calmed down, from a US perspective.
Under Obama - a good man in so many ways - we killed untold civilians, increased disastrous drone strikes and propped up numerous horrible dictators.

(315 posts)Obama broke the record for most weapons sold to Saudi Arabia - sold BILLIONS more AFTER they bombed a children's hospital THEN tried to stop a UN inquiry into Saudi war crimes in Yemen.
Drone strikes killed hundreds of civilians, and two US citizens without a trial.
After that White House Press Secretary told reporters that kid would still be alive if he'd had a better dad.
Same shit cops say when they kill black kids... blame the victim. No one blinked.

And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
I know we all hate Trump, and god knows what shit he'll do but part of being a moral human is looking at what your own team does with open eyes. And in that respect, we did massive damage.
Sure, we also propped up a right-wing coup in Honduras, which lead to dozens of democracy and LGBTQ activists being murdered.

The U.S. dropped 26,171 bombs last year, 3,027 more than 2015.
According to an analysis of Defense Department data from the Council on Foreign Relations, a non-partisan think tank, the majority of the bombs were dropped in Iraq and Syria. The U.S. leads an international coalition fighting the Islamic State group in both countries and has carried out air operations in attempt to reduce the area controlled by the terrorist organization.
Nearly the same amount of bombs were dropped in Syria (12,192) and Iraq (12,095) last year."

(10,303 posts)Especially the Air Force. It doesn't matter if it's civilians, allied forces or even US forces. I'm hoping that the USAF has yanked their advertising stating "No one comes close".
