ATLANTA, Ga The latest poll in the nations most closely watched election was released Friday, showing a Democrat continuing to lead in what has been a solid GOP congressional lock.
The poll, conducted by Opinion Savvy, shows Jon Ossoff continuing to hold a solid lead over the rest of the 18-candidate field seeking to replace Tom Price in the 6th congressional district. Ossoff is polling at 40 percent, while Republican Karen Handel is next at 20 percent, followed by another Republican, Bob Gray, at 10 percent.
No other candidate is polling in double digits, although state Sen. Judson Hill, who secured the high-profile endorsement of U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, is at 9.5 percent.
