Just a note for DUers who may have forgotten what the Freedom Caucus is. They are not the

sort who think Ryan and Trump were being too draconian on healthcare repeal. These people are beyond hope as Americans. They think that when they go to work they are in the Alamo and everybody else is trying to kill them. They are a group of 'take no prisoners ' reactionaries who see America as their personal property in which you have no valid opinion let alone stake.

They want to repeal totally, not just ACA, but Medicare, social security and any rule the purports to protect those not privileged to be them.

Just say'n cause I have heard on occasion some back patting for their actions in trumping tRump.

They are accountable to no one except a few batshit crazy billionaires who fund their PACs. The GOP can't control them. They don't need the party fundraising mechanism anymore because the GOP forced the relaxations on campaign finance rules. And they cannot lose their elections because the GOP drew their districts that way. The GOP thought they were sooooo smart when they did these things because they would RULE for 100 years!!11!!! But now they are hoisted on their own petard. No one can control these crazies and they have zero interest in actually governing. They just like to break shit. Now they will break GOP shit for a while.

She had a man on there some time back who had written a book about the problems John Boehner had with the "Freedom Caucus", which caused him to finally quit his plum of a job. She said the republican and democratic parties control members by doling out money to them, or by withholding it, or threatening to withhold it, from them. But the "Freedom Caucus" is immune to this, which made it impossible for Boehner (and now for Ryan) to control them, because they don't need the party's money. They are bankrolled by the Koch brothers, the gentleman said. They're like little chess men, being moved around by Charlie Koch to help him ruin our lives. (That's his hobby, and I wish he would get a different one. Philately would be good, or birding.) Think Terry's guest was telling the truth? I do.

Back in the Cold War we used to say "If you see a nation with 'Democratic' in its name, you know it's not".

Today, if a political org uses "Freedom" or "Liberty" in their name you know they don't care about freedom and liberty, only about helping the wealthy and corporations.
