Kids are listening more than we think.

By kids I mean anyone in their 20's. These are kids to me. I just had a new TV delivered and set up. The young men, I would guess in their early twenties were setting up my TV. In the 30 minutes they were here they talked about TrumpCare failing, Russia, Gerrymandering and how Republican lawmakers seem to be less intelligent than Democrats.

they are inheriting a really messed up world. Who among us wants to be in the prime of their youth when the world falls under the weight of the hubris, carelessness, and callousness of man (yes, "man&quot at the end of history. The youth today are very aware they are being screwed over by a bunch of selfish, greedy old men and the sycophants who follow them.

Rivers filled with toxic chemicals, air filled with carcinogens, land littered with garbage and abandoned materials everywhere, the oceans filled with our junk, our shit, our waste, nearly every inch of land it seems disturbed by people, junk everywhere, plastic everywhere, cars and trucks and the machinery of buildings filling our ears with sick noise. Trees, plants, and animals are going extinct and it is our fault. Nature has been relegated to a commodity of our economic system. This is the materialistic vision of the end. And for our children it is not an apocalyptic warning of some possible future... it is now.

it has taken someone like him gaining power to convince many of these people around my age to get engaged. If Hillary Clinton won, most people would have been discussing trivial topics, and the news cycle would be slower. Before the past election, I think people were largely apathetic about politics and took things for granted. Democrats may or may not retake both Houses next November, but I can say with almost certainty that they'll at least gain more seats the worse that the state of the country becomes. I'm not rooting for the country to fail since all of us are in this together, but it does help the D's chances.
