I doubt it will go well for those thousands arrested. That is government treatment intended to silence the entire population. Makes people afraid to protest their government.

Most Russians that I have met are good people. I have known a number of them from my University days. The Russian People are by and large great people, but they have a history of terrible leadership and bad government.

Putin is a murderous authoritarian thug surrounded by corrupt oligarchs. The only solution to these problems is Democracy. The Russian People overthrew their Soviet overlords in the past. I hope that they can do the same thing again and get rid of Putin.

Those people deserve to have freedom and a functioning Democracy. I wish the protestors well.
