Trump/Russia thingy - Comey probably wants to keep things close to his vest so as not to damage his case against Trump and Company. In a closed session any leaks that come out of it may be Trumps people putting out fake stories. I think Comey wants to get these people dead to rights and doesn't want to take a chance that his case against them is compromised in any way.

That what Nunes "saw" was a trap to see what he (or any committee member) did with the info. If true, it's no surprise that Comey & Rogers declined to provide closed door intel meeting.

It's in the CNN article about Nunes cancelling all meetings this week too.
