How far are Republicans willing to go with Donald Trump?

Considering that Donald Trump is not an actual Republican or Democrat - he owes complete loyalty to the Trump Party - how much are Republicans willing to invest in their new President?

Surely, they are not as blind as they pretend to be? They can see what is happening before their very eyes, whether or not they can assimilate it.

They must understand that these matters are not going to clear up, so long as Donald Trump is in the White House. Simply sticking their heads in the sand and pretending it is all about Hillary Clinton and angry Democrats is a high-order miscalculation.

Does Donald Trump's polls have to fall below 30% approval before they take notice? After all, it is their jobs that are up for review next year. It will no longer be just about Trump - it will be about the Republican Party.

Are they willing to go "all in" for the cover-up of the crimes of Donald Trump, a pseudo-Republican? It's time for them to do some serious introspection.

I have no idea why they are sticking with this turd? The only thing I can figure out is that many of them are already deep into the Russia coverup in some capacity either during the election, now, or both.

I thought many of these career politicians would have buckled under the intense media scrutiny around all the scandal. I thought, since it sounded like so many of them hated him and were speaking out against his rhetoric during the campaign, that they would have impeached him when things got bad enough so that they'd get Pence and save their party from absolute chaos and destruction. None of them, save for Graham and McCain, seem to give a flying fuck about America or their own future in politics. It's pretty breathtaking.

I think a lot of them got compromised, whether willingly or inadvertently, by the Russia scandal and they're scared. I don't know why they think avoiding it will at all be a good idea. I think they know they're going down either way; might as well stick around to see if they can pull off a far-fetched cover-up.

This is looking more and more like Nazi Germany every day.

He is at 36% approval right now according to Gallup. http://www.pollingreport.com/djt_job1.htm

36% means he only has the support of diehard Republicans. No one who would ever vote for a Democratic President is in that 36%.

If he goes much below that, it means he is losing the core of his base and thus he loses any leverage over congressional Republicans and they lose fear of voting against his agenda. They would also be more inclined to vote for impeachment.

Which may not happen no matter what is exposed. Their base is a perfect cocktail of evil, gullible and stupid.

They do not care about any other constituency.
