Right wing media was good enough for that. I agree the situation is extremely grave though. I think people need to realize that this isn't so much Cold War state-based "cloak and dagger" stuff rather than an oligarchic cabal running around on their private jets and meeting on their private properties. Unfortunately, as far as the Russians go their state is utterly co-opted by said plutocrats.

to put country ahead of party here". Can you rationally imagine republicans putting anything ahead of themselves? McLaughlin is correct of course but their is simply no hope that republicans will try to get to the bottom of this, because they already are at the bottom of this. They are the reason the Russian attack on our election system has succeeded.

This is going to get much worse and crazier before our country is put back in the hands of Americans. Right now our country is to some degree being operated in the interests of Russia and its oligarchs.

What extreme measures Trump will take to deflect and obfuscate so that he doesn't go down in flames is what scares me. How many people is he willing to sacrifice to further his wants , needs and desires? How much of America will be left when he and his minions are finished with us?

Since when do we start listening to Dick Cheney? Why is he relevant? I don't trust ANYTHING that comes out of Dick Cheney's mouth. He's as low down and dirty as Donald Trump.

But the remarkable thing is that HE would be one to turn against his party. He's a despicable POS and it surprises me that he would say such a thing. Makes me wonder what/whose ass he's covering. Because he is incapable of doing anything ethical and above-board. It's always about something stinking and slimy beneath the surface with him.

And they have so much fucking money and power.

But only as long as the people sit back and let it happen.

To me, it looks as though healthcare is the only issue
that moves people strongly enough to matter.

And yet, this is so much more important!

"This is a very serious situation we're dealing with."

Indeed it is. And Republicans in Congress and in the White House are treating it as just another political spat. That'll be the day when Republicans put country ahead of party, and of course ahead of themselves.

It took Bush $3 Trillion (if you consider what the Obama Administration had to spend as well) and a million plus casualties to topple Iraq and Afghanistan. Putin toppled the US for what, $100 Million? $200M? So far, only 9 people have died suspiciously, unless you count the Brexit foe in the UK.
