Why in the name of all that is good would a Democrat throw a drowning Trump a lifeline?

He called our beloved former president a "sick guy" and suggested he was an illegal alien, called our presidential nominee "crooked" and said she should be "locked up", and called our Senate Minority leader a "clown".

He has made life miserable for Mexicans and American Muslims.

He is doing his best to undo President Obama's legislation.

If Trump needs succor let him go to Michael Cernovich, Roger Stone, or the Dilbert comic guy.

He has invited some Democrats to the White House. I have no problem with them going. Doing unpleasant things is part of being an adult. If they refuse to go they will cede the moral high ground. However he is drowning of his own accord. Let his Deplorable pals give him a lifeline.

But he has done nothing to show he respects us, our leaders, or cares about the things we care about.

Let his Deplorable pals save him.

We can look like we are meeting halfway. Doesn't mean we are there to give him a lifeline. Maybe we're there to push him under.
