Here's Dworkin's big revelation!

We waited on the edge of our seats for this!? LOL

FBI Director James Comey attempted to go public as early as the summer of 2016 with information on Russia’s campaign to influence the U.S. presidential election, but Obama administration officials blocked him from doing so, two sources with knowledge of the matter tell Newsweek.

Well before the Department of Homeland Security and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence accused the Russian government of tampering with the U.S. election in an October 7 statement, Comey pitched the idea of writing an op-ed about the Russian campaign during a meeting in the White House’s situation room in June or July.

“He had a draft of it or an outline. He held up a piece of paper in a meeting and said, ‘I want to go forward, what do people think of this?’” says a source with knowledge of the meeting , which included Secretary of State John Kerry, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, the Department of Homeland Security’s director and the national security adviser.

it not?

funny, though, isn't it, how he IGNORED Lynch's 'advice' to STFU about Clinton's malfeasances?

why didn't he do so in this case?

???????????????????????????????????????????????????

First, it is based on anonymous sources and second, it says that the others in the room did not want it to be a single person oped, but a statement from several agencies giving it more weight. Second, there WERE Obama administartion statements that Russia was involved in the hacking etc. So, they did speak out -- and it did not make much of a difference.

Note that there was no intent to say that the FBI was investigating Trump - even in Comey's proposed op-ed.

campaign on Pres. Obama. I was thinking it when I started reading it, and the line "The White House did their usual -- nothing" kinda solidified my opinion.

It also is stunning that they speak of the alternative as a multi agency statement as stronger -- and do not bother to say that they DID put that out. It was all over the news at the time and later HRC refered to the fact that 17 agencies found that Russia did this.

6. So a couple of anon 'sources' got together to deflect heat from Comey (?)...

And unto the Obama administration who 'supposedly', according to the anon sources, “...did their usual—nothing” for 'supposedly' ZERO reason mentioned knowing it might cost the Democrats and Hillary the White House... umm... sure...

'If' the WH stopped Comey from publishing an op-ed (an "op-ed about Russia tinkering with our election?) I would think there was a logical reason like perhaps it was still under investigation and they felt they needed more info or ??

With all due respect to who may be offended, who gives a shit? I don't want to hear would've/could've/should've's, especially now. Blaming the previous administration won't go over too well. I also think they made a good point. Having the backup of other intelligence agencies lends more credibility.

But, seriously, how does this help us now?

You at least posted a real link, rather than just twittering something that someone on twitter just opined about without any links.
