Will tRump Allow China to End NK Hostilities?

Last edited Tue Apr 25, 2017, 12:55 AM - Edit history (1)

Serious question. Can he let China be the negotiator and take the credit, or is he going to attack NK no matter what? If he and the GOP condemn Iran and threaten them because they are upset that the pact made by Obama is working, how much worse must the feel that a non-western "money-manipulating" country is in the diplomatic driver's seat?

That is a certainty. There are a whole lot of other countries I would rather he attack (I can't believe I just wrote that ), countries that do not have nuclear capability.

They mostly kill their own people, which for some reason does not bother us as much as when Iraq or Syria do it. They have arrested a bunch of Americans in recent days, which Trump (and America) have not seen fit to respond to. Are these the hostilities?

nuclear buildup, that sort of crap. The rhetoric they've been spewing about how they are aren't afraid of war. tRump buys into it and responds in kind.

Set over the Sound of Music song that is coincidentally similar

The New Year brings new problems to the Bush administration, mainly because of Kim Jong Il, the ruler of North Korea.
(As sung by Secretary of State Colin Powell, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice, and President George W. Bush)

Powell:
What do we see
That guy named Kim
He's acting without care

Rumsfeld:
He's starting all his weapons plants
We found out, he don't care

Rice:
Now things aren't so simple
With Saddam, they're quite a pair

Powell, Rumsfeld, Rice:
So what are we gonna do with this Kimmy?

Powell:
When he says that he'll do this thing
We know that it ain't for real

Rumsfeld:
He always lies 'bout everything

Rice:
We shouldn't cut a deal

Bush:
From all of which, I take it,
That you very firmly feel

All:
That Kim is just a little bit crazy!

Rice:
I'd like to say a word in his behalf.
That Kim, he is quite fat!

All:
How do you solve a problem like Korea?
How do you deal with nuts and bring them down?
How do you deal with the ruler of Korea?

Powell:
This Kim, he should go

Rumsfeld:
A big fat buffoon

Rice:
A clown!

All:
Maybe we ought to send all of our bombers
After we've bombed Saddam into the sand

Powell:
But for now we're gonna say
That his nukes uh uh, no way

Rumsfeld:
Or else that Kim will end up like Saddam

Rice:
Oh, how do you solve a problem like Korea?

Bush:
No, we won't give in to this nut's demands

And it's funny you should have set the scene in Iraq under Bush because I was drawing the parallels last night. The removal of one dangerous dictator versus another. I want to state that I have absolutely no problem removing Kim Jong Il by force. However, I have a major problem with his removal being orchestrated by the tRump administration.

They got his brother in an airport. Ivanka and the kids fly commercial airlines. If Kim Jong is willing to kill his own people (brother of Dear Leader being considered one's own people), it is not a stretch to see him going after a US President's own people.
