But if the dems filibuster, it would take 60 for cloture. Unless McTurtle has changed the rules recently.

the votes to remove the legislative filibuster anyway. There are enough republicans who won't go for that

the Senate has an office that determines if it can be done under reconciliation. Every Dem Senator I've heard has said none of them will vote for it as it stands.

5. Apparently a senior GOP Senator said the chance of it being under reconciliation is less than 1 in 5

Or, failing that, eliminating the filibuster as it applies to legislation is always a possibility.

rewrite the bill, and unless it is equivalent or better than the ACA, the Democrats won't vote for it, and I believe there are not enough Senate republicans that would accept a bill that doesn't cover pre-existing conditions and other issues.

If they manage to get a rewrite through, which would almost certainly mean a less drastic bill, that the house freedom caucus would accept it is very questionable.

That is why 2018 may literally be a life and death situation

8. Looks like this bill is even too crappy for the Republicans in the Senate.

There are several provisions in the House bill that are not eligible for treatment under reconcilation. The Senate GOP is starting from scratch and will hopefully exclude these provisions
