That said, I hold on to a glimmer of hope.

If there is justice in this world, today will prove to my fellow Americans that the Republican Party doesn't give a rip-roaring, flying, mortar-forking shit about anyone but the very, very rich. And the Russians.

They don't. They never have. A dull-normal Richie Rich sociopath convinced them it would be barrels of fun to give the finger to the rest of the country - while ensuring they would get screwed as bad as the rest of us.

I have hope that a few people will wake up. Hope I'm right. Just my .02.
