When you know you have been caught and you know they have the evidence they need to convict, the tactic is to attack the evidence and get it thrown out. Trumps cyber lynching tweets came over the weekend after the white House had been served a warrant and they had to order Russia document preservation. That is not a coincidence, that was a response to them finding out about the FISA warrant when served a subpoena. They immediately developed a strategy of creating a public perception that any surveillance was illegal activity by the black guy.
