So there's a subversively dumped pile of documents.

What next? "Oh, this shows this embarrassing and scandalous fact. However it's from a source we don't like so we will all pretend that it doesn't exist"?

I don't see this happening. We wouldn't even notice if it were, say, a French expose against Trump. Needless to say, ignoring it wouldn't happen. Any more than the dissent over what "intelligence" shows about Trump serves the primary Russian purpose, according to various reports.

It's like opposition research, no more and no less, but by another country. Countries meddle in other countries' politics. The US does. Russia does. Even Obama's endorsement of Macron is an attempt to sway the electorate.
