How is it possible in this day and age that some are working to, and cheering for, the intentional

killing of millions of their fellow American citizens?

The laughing, clapping and high fiving of republican congressman at their repeal of the ACA is unseemly at best and probably inhuman.

This behavior wouldn't be tolerable if the repeal were essential to the continued existence of American society let alone a way to provide super wealthy people with more super wealth.

If they prefaced this vote with the following arguement, perhaps the need to do this would be evident and we could all agree that killing millions of our fellow citizens was the right and necessary thing to do.

"Our nation is in an economic tailspin and we simply cannot find another nickel of tax dollars to pay for the skyrocketing costs of medical care everyone" said the (imaginary) speaker.

"How true" lamented the President, "our billionaires simply are totally tapped out and have no more shackles and alms for the wastrel eaters and takers any more" a tear drooled down his cheek as he polished his nine iron.

"Hopefully, America, it will be possible for you to get health care if you move somewhere else" the Senate master intoned, wobbling his chins in concern, "Perhaps the nation of Hawaii has a better economic state and can afford your ponderous medical complaints"

"Our society, as great and mighty as it is" cried the Republican leadership "needs the money for yachting and golf courses with precisely manicured greens and the conditions of our ruffs are deplorable and must be rectified immediately" they wailed.

"Of course you understand how hard it was for us to do this" they said with courageous chests puffed " so we will be keeping the medical care you so desperately need in place for our selves so that when conditions improve we will still be alive to revisit the problem and fix it again for you. We make this sacrifice knowing how appreciative you will be that we, your leaders and their respective families, are safe and secure in the welcoming hands of the worlds finest medical care".

"For those of you who must die, well it's sad, but Benghazi, I mean goodbye "

only one thing good I could say at the time that I was drafted into the army but joined the navy instead was that I'd have health care the rest of my life. At the ripe old age of 54 I finally had to start using it. Due to shit that happened to me in that war they drafted me for all those years ago.

Yup I think you are on to something with what you said.

What a great way to push back at the Repugs and Paul Ryan, never mind Dolt 45. Unfortunately, many of the people whose income is so low that they qualify for Medicaid actually are a part of 45's core. The Repugs are saying that these Red State folks with chronic health conditions should just move to the Blue States to get medical care. This is one instance where I am fresh out of sympathy for 45's voters. The thought of them moving to my own Blue State of Colorado with its relatively enlightened healthcare system brings me no joy. Our budget is limited and can not expand outward to infinity to take care of "medical refugees" - especially those who voted to have no healthcare because they wanted to make a racist statement of hate by voting for 45, and healthcare be damned.

is a small price to pay in exchange for yuuuuge tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires who will pump much of it into boosting the stock market which will create the impression that the economy is doing fantastic! All thanks to TheRump and Republicans!!!! Winning!!!!!!!

(The remaining sick moochers can go to prison if they need health care. Prison labor is good for business--another big win!!!!)

Living wage? "GO OUT AND EARN IT, BUM!" You know, because poor people apparently don't work hard, don't have all odds against them and things like a roof and food are luxuries.

This is what happens when predominantly rich white male third-basers create, govern and dictate the terms of a country - you GET a country that predominantly CATERS to rich white male third-basers and toss everyone else in the "Fend for Yourself" risk pool.

The whole modern GOP agenda is about tax cuts that benefit only GOP donors - the 0.01%.

This isn't a healthcare bill, it's a tax cut bill.

GOP politicians and rightwing media are lying about what the bill does.
And the mainstream press are playing into the hands of those lies.

The right wing in this country was incensed by what happened back then and developed ways to demagogue everything the Liberal left did and was trying to do. But a hatred was developed for us and the ways we were/are trying to help people that has never gone away.

People who need health insurance are merely collateral damage in the larger war against taxing the wealthy. The whole point of the bill, and especially its timing, is to get set up for the larger tax "reform" bill - they have to factor in the effect of the tax cut in the TrumpCare bill before they can do the much more extensive tax bill.

2. Their expect that their dark money contributors, millionaires and corporations, will keep the money flowing their way.

3. It feels like they just spit on, pee'd on, stuck a sharp stick in the eye of, and put their boot up the butt of Obama. They hate him that much.
