How is it possible in this day and age that some are working to, and cheering for, the intentional
killing of millions of their fellow American citizens?
The laughing, clapping and high fiving of republican congressman at their repeal of the ACA is unseemly at best and probably inhuman.
This behavior wouldn't be tolerable if the repeal were essential to the continued existence of American society let alone a way to provide super wealthy people with more super wealth.
If they prefaced this vote with the following arguement, perhaps the need to do this would be evident and we could all agree that killing millions of our fellow citizens was the right and necessary thing to do.
"Our nation is in an economic tailspin and we simply cannot find another nickel of tax dollars to pay for the skyrocketing costs of medical care everyone" said the (imaginary) speaker.
"How true" lamented the President, "our billionaires simply are totally tapped out and have no more shackles and alms for the wastrel eaters and takers any more" a tear drooled down his cheek as he polished his nine iron.
"Hopefully, America, it will be possible for you to get health care if you move somewhere else" the Senate master intoned, wobbling his chins in concern, "Perhaps the nation of Hawaii has a better economic state and can afford your ponderous medical complaints"
"Our society, as great and mighty as it is" cried the Republican leadership "needs the money for yachting and golf courses with precisely manicured greens and the conditions of our ruffs are deplorable and must be rectified immediately" they wailed.
"Of course you understand how hard it was for us to do this" they said with courageous chests puffed " so we will be keeping the medical care you so desperately need in place for our selves so that when conditions improve we will still be alive to revisit the problem and fix it again for you. We make this sacrifice knowing how appreciative you will be that we, your leaders and their respective families, are safe and secure in the welcoming hands of the worlds finest medical care".

only one thing good I could say at the time that I was drafted into the army but joined the navy instead was that I'd have health care the rest of my life. At the ripe old age of 54 I finally had to start using it. Due to shit that happened to me in that war they drafted me for all those years ago.
