Is this an idea worth pursuing?

This post:
https://www.democraticunderground.com/10141767958

is about The City of Chicago getting access to the archived Environmental Protection Agency page and posting it to their own website.

So, just tossing ideas around - just say Chicago or the EPA creates a downloadable package of these pages, or an abridged version. Then anyone with a bit of web space can upload a mirror page for the EPA. I would put it on a couple of sites, I'm sure others would for the resisTance.

What think you?

Edit to add: just the Climate Change section, not the whole EPA

Good idea to wait. But would they be able to give it to you without losing their job? Squinch May 2017 #4

Are you able to package that? If so I'll let the mayor of my town know that I can Squinch May 2017 #10

Possibly true that they can't give it out but they may be happy for Chicogo to facilitate distribution.

ETA: but I don't think it would be a terrible idea to write to the EPA person anyway. You don't go into that business because you are a big fan of Trump's. He or she may be able to find a way to get the information out without losing the job.

Technically it's really easy to do; someone packages up a limited edition of the Climate Change page/s, puts it on a server and provides a link. Let resistors and social media do the rest.

Imagine - 10,000 global mirrors for the EPA Climate Change page!

During the transition there was a hacker group working frantically to copy all the data on the government sites for just such an occasion. Not sure where they put it...

Did it themselves but I believe this was all the archived climate data which would be shitloads of raw data.

I'm thinking more of a solidarity/protest thing by doing similar to Chicago - putting a page on the web.
