... Trump .. headlined four big rallies in the first months of his presidency ... A new $1.5 million television ad campaign promotes his accomplishments and attacks the media.
The flurry of activity to build support for Trumps policies .. springs from his re-election campaign, which filed paperwork allowing him to begin raising and spending money on Jan. 20 the same day he took the oath of office. By contrast, both President Obama and President George W. Bush had been in office for more than two years before they filed for re-election.
... Trumps unorthodox move to immediately start fundraising allows him .. to push his agenda in new ways. He can rally his supporters, openly denounce his political enemies and pressure recalcitrant lawmakers in Congress all without running afoul of rules that bar using taxpayer money for politics ...
Participants need tickets to attend ... That ticketing allows the campaign aides to grow Trump's already massive database of supporters and their addresses another way to solicit campaign donations and to mobilize Trump-friendly voters ...

(1,296 posts)When he's done nothing of substance (besides try to line the pockets of the ultra-rich with the money for the health benefits of the working class) with his barely started first term? Is he afraid he won't get in sufficient rounds of golf in 4 years?
He doesn't want to live in the White House, doesn't want to go to the meetings or briefings, doesn't want to exert the effort to fill governmental positions.......just why?????
It's ok Donnie.....just think of all the hard work you won't have to do if you don't run again. Not that you've done any of it so far......

(20,572 posts)for campaign expenses can be funneled into tRump's businesses. This is a money move - he wants to cash I while he can. Plus, if he is impeached I am guessing he gets to keep the donations for himself.
