"Former-president Bill Clinton is writing a novel about the White House, publishers announced on Monday.

The President Is Missing is being written in collaboration with James Patterson, believed to be the world's best-selling living author.

The publishers say the book will be "informed by details that only a President can know".

The book, which is Mr Clinton's first novel, will be released by Alfred A Knopf and Hachette in June 2018.

"Working on a book about a sitting president - drawing on what I know about the job, life in the White House, and the way Washington works - has been a lot of fun," said the former president.

"And working with Jim has been terrific. I've been a fan of his for a very long time," he added."....(more at link)

Don't think James Patterson has actually written a novel in years. He has a whole staff of ghostwriters. Being one myself I know a bit about that. (Not a Patterson ghostwriter, of course!. All that hat being said, I'm not putting it past him. Talk about a potential block buster!

I don't even read Patterson, but I'd buy that book!

I wish he'd chosen a bit higher quality writer than Patterson, entertaining as he is. Bill's likely trying to reach as large an audience as possible, and Patterson should do that.

I'd forgotten the ghost writers, though. Haven't read one of his in a long time. Think it started out with a honeymooning couple murdered by being locked in a sauna on high.
