Reproductive Rights and the Long Hand of Slave Breeding (SLAVERY for women)
Let's be clear about who we're dealing with here. The Republicans and the "alt-right" are advocating nothing less than SLAVERY for women in the US. Sexual and reproductive SLAVERY wherein any female has no say in what male takes liberty to use her body for his pleasure, or how or why or when and no say about what happens if that use of her body results in a pregnancy or an STD and NO healthcare if it does, either. If she gets raped or pregnant, SHE is a "slut" and doesn't deserve care in their view. SHE should be punished with an unwanted pregnancy. She's just a breed cow.
The last time women were treated like that was during the dark days of SLAVERY where slave women were "bred" and raped at will and commanded a higher price if they were of breeding age.
MAKE NO MISTAKE: This is what the Republicans and alt-right want for America's girls and women.
Full stop. They do not consider women human. Women to then are cattle. Slaves. Male service units. Or at least they'd like them to be. This is what is at the root of their attitudes when it comes to rape culture and reproductive rights. Including the so-called "Christian" ones. THEIR "God" would have women lose agency over their own being, their own destiny, their own bodies. It's immoral. Period. But this is what they want.
THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE between this and slavery except that in most cases American girls and women are not (yet) sold as chattel/male service units. I say MOST cases because there is a very active worldwide trade of girls and women being sold into sexual slavery and if Republican and alt-right men had any say about it this trade would be legalized and open. Why is the Handmaid's Tale suddenly relevant again, now?
