Hillary won the popular vote. Hillary would have won the election without criminal activity.
Way too much revisionist history going on...and way too much "normalization".

(11,243 posts)Women are mostly invisible as anything other than sexual objects, even in the 'liberal' press. POC are also underrepresented. Well we went from invisible to indivisible. We'll show 'em yet!

(16,646 posts)The margin was so slim, maybe 100K votes in 4 states, that one can point to almost any event, choice, or tactic and demonstrate that it "alone" would have changed the margin of victory. It's like the football game where they blame it on some bad call late in the game, ignoring all the times the calls went their way. And definitely ignoring all the opportunities the losers squandered that would have scored more points, or prevented the other team from scoring.
The thing about the Comey/Russian/Voter suppression schtick is that THIS stuff shouldn't be in the game at all. It's the grease ball from baseball. It's the corked bat. It's steroids in sports. You're suppose to win and lose because of better, smarter play. Not because someone cheated the rules. It's not that she couldn't have won DESPITE the Russians and Comey, it's that she's not supposed to HAVE to win over that. WE aren't suppose to have to win over that.

(24,391 posts)Hillary won 3 million more total votes and she lost the WH because of the EC. Why isn't the MSM concerned about our needs and worries? After all, we're the ones whom did NOT vote for the Trump disaster that we are now all living in and unable to escape from.

(6,042 posts)and apparently many people have had difficulty acknowledging that. The task ahead seems a lot easier if we say, once again, bad candidate, bad messaging, and convince ourselves that we just need to do some tweaking or get back to basics.
They rushed out immediately in November eager to push a quick and dirty, and very wrong analysis.
The Trump/Pence team should not be determining the future of our country; and probably many other Republicans should not either.
The Russian connection is what gives us the moral authority we have to have to be able to say Hell, no--and mean it.
The fear some in power have had that we will lose confidence in our elections is absurd. We should lose confidence in our elections based upon the facts. Facing the truth is not going to demoralize us. Hiding the truth will.
We entered a new political era in 2000 and too many Democrats have not wanted to acknowledge it. Blaming ourselves or our candidates and then getting back to business-is absurd and it has only emboldened the anti-democracy forces - first here, and now globally.
