If he thinks this is going to make the investigation simply evaporate, he's got bigger rocks in his head than I thought he did, and I thought that thing on his neck was already containing overflow.

Comey was the guy who was obediently sitting on all the dirt that was being dug up against Dolt45 loyalists while trumpeting every email that was hacked from Clinton's government server.

This not only looks about as bad as it can possibly look, with Comey out of the way, the investigation might start to produce some real results. At the very least, it's going to piss off the FBI guys who have been putting all this stuff together for the last few months and that's not a smart thing to do.
