Comey firing a "big mistake"

BY JORDAIN CARNEY - 05/09/17 07:27 PM EDT

... "Earlier this afternoon President Trump called me and informed me he was firing Director Comey," Schumer told reporters on Tuesday. "I told the president, 'Mr. President, with all due respect, you are making a big mistake.’ ”

He added that Trump didn't "really respond" to his comment ...

no further. If it all was legit - you would not have done that. It proves he knew it was
seriously a bad idea and made him look guilty - so he and others were stupid enough to
think we would actually believe that he would listen to the state dept. Kelly Ann pushed
that - the "recommendation" - so that tells a lot as well. Yikes they are now so transparent.

They had to know the Fire Storm this would start. They knew the consequences and they still did it. Because they have to stop the investigation. They are desperate and this is going to get ugly. They will do anything to stay in power, and I mean nothing is off he table. Murder, war, nuclear war, nothing is past them to stay in power.

Chuck's presser was very interesting. The way he said Trump "didn't really respond" to his comment indicates Trump is scared. It started with Sally Yates and now I think with the indictments possibly coming down, his Russian boss ordered him to fire Comey.

Not understanding that there is a significant swath of FBI agents willing to step up and continue the work that was started. Like Trump, they don't understand the American concept of "career professionals" who aren't as loyal to politicians or political parties as they are to their jobs.
