AND the talking point will be: "This is not Watergate." -Lindsay GRAHAM, plus"Dems wanted him fired"

Yaas, in a day, maybe two, this will have replaced the initial shock of DRUMPF's latest pussy-grab and everybody will have moved on. That's the way it's worked so far, whatever outrageous stunt he pulls, it's over in 24 hours.

Just his stupid Tweets - "cryin' SHUMER" / "Dems so sad" - are enough for impeachment, Conduct Unbecoming.

Dems have been calling for Comey's head since November but are now shocked and mad when his head is actually on the platter.

They called him out for deliberately throwing the election to Trump. Now that the investigation is underway, they're appropriately suspicious of Trump for suddenly firing Comey in the middle of it. Can you honestly not see this?

If your goal is to help echo the GOP talking points, then you should equally ask why Trump praised Comey when it was convenient for him to do so but fired him when Comey became inconvenient.

When HE is being invesigated and claiming the firing was for something done months ago which he supported.

It's not THAT he was removed but HOW he was removed and WHY. We're pissed because Sessions, who had claimed to recuse himself, did this and that they did this because he was investigating trump.

During my 45 minute commute I heard both phrases uttered by three separate commentators.

David Greene, ever the reliable facilitator for GOP propaganda, could barely contain his scoffing has he discussed the issue with Rep Jackie Speier (CA). He seemed incredulous that anyone could liken this to Watergate, and he happily asserted that Democrats also wanted Comey fired.

Greene would likely assert that he was simply playing devil's advocate, in order to give Speier an opportunity to address those concerns, but he thereby positioned himself as a willing catapult for Republican talking points, as often seems to be the case.

It can't be Trumpgate because that would cover dozens of otherwise deserving gates.

Russiagate at least focuses on Russia.

Although there are dozens of Russian related gates (Exxon oil/land, money laundering, loans, election collusion/treason, emoluments...)

Hard to just pick one.

Maybe MonsoonGate to cover them all.
