Michael Flynn will eat his pistol, so his family will get all his death benefits before he gets kicked down to buck private.

Why even pretend now? You just met with the Russian ambassador and foreign minister, and fired the investigator looking into your Russian collusion. If they think the shoe was about to drop it then why wait?

3. Looking at the playing field...

and who has the ball, I don't think anyone is running anywhere... yet. This trench has been deeply dug at this point and hope that movement toward bringing down Trump and his conspirators will be long in coming. That's their game now, see how long they can stall and maybe they can either sew the coup tight or split with Russian protection after sacking the US.
