Per CNN, trump didn't like the way Spicer handled things last night. Spicer is on reserve duty and Huckabee will be holding the briefings this week and her performance is being evaluated to possibly replace Spicer.
No link, but it will be out later. This was verbally relayed from CNN's White House Chief.

(12,649 posts)Spicey just "got called up" or something with no warning or notice to his "customers"? No common courtesy of "BTW, I'm taking a few days off to drill, so Sarah will be filling you in the rest of the week?" He's a commander in the Naval Reserves FCS, he should know how to handle drills and recalls.
I retired a reservist at a engineering command that occasionally had "short fuse" requests to call in a few specialists to help them out - during Desert Storm and Desert Shield when there were a few times they called us up off schedule; but even then, they don't just call someone up for duty in the middle of the week if there wasn't a shitload of plane tickets waiting for an emergency escalation of force requirement.
If you were recalled for any reason, there was at least a two/three day lead time where you were supposed to spend an hour or two of muster at the reserve center to get your orders, then you had two days to get your shit in order before you were deployed - even then, most times you didn't leave town until a week later.
And that's pretty much only for emergencies, like a sudden conflict or serious damage to an OCONUS military asset. Not for a training requirement or some other Reserve administrivia event.
And emergency muster drills don't keep someone from going to work the next day. He might be off today, but the rest of the week would still be his.
I'm still in touch with the local Reserve units, and a lot of my co-workers and managers are still Reservists - officers and enlisted. Some are assigned to operational units that drill at secure sites out of state, which is a major pain the Friday/Monday of those drill weekends.
This being said, I've not heard of any recall messages going out this week that would require anyone to just drop everything and go drill.
